Summary: Organize, Plan, and Execute Commercial Glazing Projects, overseeing all project aspects of estimating, contracting, submittals, fabrication, installation, and project closeout, by leading a team of estimators, project managers and drafters.
Role and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
ESTIMATING. Qualify upcoming projects to bid. Assign estimates as needed. Review high profile and high-cost estimates prior to bidding. Ensure bid schedule is maintained.
PROJECT MANAGING. In addition to managing projects, assign projects to staff project managers based off project complexity and project manager skill set. Provide support for project managers to ensure success of projects both in terms of time and budget. Review material orders for accuracy and ensure material arrives as ordered and tagged for appropriate projects. Oversee entire life of a project from estimating to closeout to reduce delays and mistakes and increase productivity and margin.
FABRICATION. Lead fabrication kick-off meetings between lead fabricator and project manager ensuring fab deadlines are communicated. Work with lead fabricator to keep accurate inventory of needed stock and facilitate stock orders when necessary.
INSTALLATION. Lead install kick-off meetings between senior glazers and project managers. Make site visits with project managers, attend production meetings, and facilitate field changes.
DRAFTING. Work with drafters and project managers to ensure timely and accurate production of shop and submittal drawings. Have a clear understanding of drafting using Autodesk AutoCAD and provide training and guidance as needed as well as assisting with drawing production and drawing modifications.
DAY-TO-DAY. Work closely with branch management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Help implement needed changes and model excellent work ethics to rest of team. Make service call visits to assess needs of clients, write up work tickets, and assist with crew scheduling.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (6am start times may be necessary sometimes)

Qualifications: Associates Degree in related field preferred. The minimum qualifications of a candidate should include 7 to 10 years in the construction industry and have a proven track record in Construction Management as a Project Engineer, Field Superintendent, or Project Manager, with a focus on commercial buildings. Candidates must be proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD. Must have a valid Driver’s License with the ability to be covered on the company insurance.

In 2021 we brought on a staff of experienced people and formed... a fully-owned division called TurnKey Solutions and Development, LLC. This division will be involved in working with companies throughout the United States in the hospitality and commercial sectors doing fit-ups, renovations, and ground-up construction. This will allow us not only to do business where we haven’t had a footprint before but also to leverage existing products within those projects wherever they are.
